Was fishing for some five pounders at my grandparents pond with live bluegills. My bobber went under I tightened my drag all the way and it was still pulling out line. Fought it for 30 seconds To go 10 feet and Peyton landed it. We measured and it was 24 inches long and 17 inch girth which is 9.5 lbs. state record is 11 lbs 3 oz. biggest bass I’ve caught.

I bet that was one heck of a fight!
Good times man, good times.

I caught one this spring in the 5-6lb range, biggest bass I've caught in a long time. I almost exclusively fish a with hula popper, love, love, love watching one disappear in a bass's mouth.
