My first project, a spindle wrench

Nice job Gravydog!

I have that Luminar wrench too. Mainly only used it for loosening when needed but I did use it for tightening for heavier milling like with a facemill, indexable endmill or other big cutter. I no longer use the Luminar anymore but it is a nice wrench.

Nice job , may need too make one myself if the spline wrenches I have don't fit. Haven't even been in my shop in almost three years.

Are you guys aware of the Luminar wrench? The 28mm side fits the spindle of an RF-30 just fine and is well worth the cost.

"...the spindle splines don't protrude above the closed cover so I needed a wrench with more of a socket style that could go down in the hole in the cover to reach the splines..."

for your next project I would suggest an air impact wrench centered above the drawbar for easy tightening and loosening of the collets. Many examples on you tube and very worthwhile Great writeup on your wrench . Jack
