A radius cutter I made today .
1 block of steel with two 1/2 inch holes thru.
2 1/2 bar of steel to hold 1/4 round cutter.
3 finished radius.

Nice! Do you have any other camera angles of the cutter and such?

Radius cutter is made of base with 2 (1/2 ) holes thru 1 hole is reamed and lapped to take a 1/2 bar that holds cutter. 1/2 inch bar is dropped into base then drilled on center to hold 1/4 round cutter. Radius size is set by touching half inch bar to a flat face in spindle. That gives me a zero reading. Then with indicator if I move away from zero reading say .100 and lock tool there. I end up with cutter tip .350 from axis or a.700 radius. in video cutter tip is extended out .062 from 1/2 bar to give me .625 radius. It’s very easy to set radius size. 1/2 cutter holder is just dropped into base with a drop of oil to let it spin with ease.

glad you included a video, because I could not tell what you were doing with those pics. They left me hanging. Your cutter only does inside radii, right?

This radius does cutter only does inside radii . But I made it for guys who don’t have a mill. And it is so easy to set up. If you need a 1 inch radius you just stick the cutter out 1/4 inch from the 1/2 inch axis and you are good to go. The axis spins on top of the cross slide.

I already have a radius turning tool that cuts balls and concave radii. And it works great.
