After my introduction, I also want to show you what I've been working on for a month now. I was able to buy this Myford ML7 in Rotterdam. That was convenient because I had just bought a new second-hand car and was able to test it on the highway. The lathe was in a small warehouse next to a Myford Super7. After a thorough inspection, I had prepared myself as a layman, I agreed with the owner regarding the purchase. After dismantling the heaviest parts, loaded the lathe into the car and started the journey back to Belgium with a good feeling. Cosmetically it didn't look bad, but because this has to be 'my' Myford, I knew that I would completely disassemble it and provide it with new parts where necessary. I also had a man in my head who started whining about how nice it would be if you would sand it all down and give it a new coat of paint... I think most of you know a guy like that too. I'm trying to take some pictures to...

Hello to everyone, Here is the update of the restoration of my Myford ML7. It didn't take longer than I thought ( for some maybe it did ) but I took my time for this project. Completely taken apart. Each piece photographed so that I would know afterwards what belongs where. During this process I also watched a lot of videos and read. My first goal was to get to know the machine and what I needed to replace or get right during the rebuild. In addition, I sacrificed one of the bedrooms to create a space where I can optimally practice my old and new hobby. Bought some extra machines such as a table drill press and a band saw. Next item on my list is a benchtop milling machine for metal. So today I finished the last job and that was the electrical connection. This actually went very smoothly thanks to a schedule that I followed from a certain QTHURTLE or Quentin Thurtle in full. If you are reading this, thank you very much for your diagrams and explanations. I'll add some pictures of what it looks like now. Oh yes the first start was just great. I let it run for a long time and just watched and listened with a nice cup of coffee at hand. Now that that's over and the weather is getting better (I hope) I dust off my rods and go to the water. That's all there is to it. I will ask the questions I still have in the relevant groups and hope to be able to participate in word and deed.
