Need a better vise

I have an LW Chunk 6” vise but it won’t open up far enough. I’d like to be able to get 6” wide work clamped in it. Was looking at one Shars sells but I’m not sure if anyone has an affordable brand the is recommended. Kurt just isn’t in the budget at this time.

Kurt's still go very high used and abused.
But there are old American brands that are reasonable. Unless you are dead set on a new style, new vise.
I got a BP vise, in awesome shape for very reasonable money...
