My consolations to you and your wife, Richard. Sadly, it is those left behind that endure the most pain when a loved one is lost to death. But with comfort available through God and yours for the asking in prayer, you will get through this. There are no words to remove the pain completely, as much as we wish it were so, but always remember that you do have people to share your burden. At one time or another, we will all go through this, either enduring the loss, or being the one lost to loved ones. For the age group in general we have, most of us have lost dear ones, and know what you are feeling......and yet are mindful of our own mortality and do not wish to be the cause of pain ourselves. It is, at this time, part of our lives to bear. Be strong, and as the Psalmist said.....well, I'd much rather you read the words for yourself. Please look up Psalm 55:22, and also 1 Peter 5:7 to gain what Paul said was there for us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5. Please share these thoughts with your wife and any who need reassurance that we do not endure alone, and there is someone who cares deeply for us.
