New Chuck for Milling Machine...Chum Power

i have a albrechts chuck on my drill press and a Jacobs on my wood lathe. using a 2 inch wood bit the Jacobs i need to use a breaker bar on the key to loosen it, but the albrecht works fine by hand. until it goes through iron wood. then i need a strap wrench.

Albrecht specifies no drills of diameter exceeding chuck capacity (no S&D drills). I have personally seen an Albrecht chuck with the hood (knurled outer body) split from use of an S&D drill in a large DP. To protect the shanks, I never hold my S&D drills in a chuck, only in a collet.
