New motor for my Lathe

I am looking to change my single phase motor on my lathe to a 3 phase motor and a VFD. I found a Marathon 143THTR5326 Vector Drive motor at a local machinery surplus store. Can I use this motor with a AC TECH VFD for my lathe? The motor is inverter duty and needs to be hooked up to a VFD. Does it need to be controlled by a special Vector Drive VFD.
Any information would be great. I know enough about electrical stuff to be dangerous. I do not want to buy something that I can not use.

I have a nice motor like that on my belt grinder being run by an El cheapo import VFD. I can't think of any reason the one you have would be any different. 3ph motors are quite simple and tolerant really.

Looks like a nice motor, should work fine with any appropriate VFD
