New Posts - What is New?

I just looked at new posts and there are only 4 and one of them is mine. Can't they stay around for 24 hours? This the only machinist site that I really like.
I don't mean to complain but posts seen to disappear really quickly.

If you go to the forum main page, theres a todays posts button, in the dark blue bar, that shows all the newest posts in descending order for at least a couple of days.

The new posts button will display any posts that have changed since you last viewed them. I use it all the time and it works well for my needs. If I hit it too soon after reading everything, there isn't much there. If I work on it hard enough, I can actually get to tell me that there are no new posts since my last visit.
