Packard plant images, Abandoned America

The first car dealership my dad owned still sold Packards for a time, along with Studebakers and Clippers.
 
Interesting book about the nearby Budd stamping plant closing down- called "Punching Out" by Paul Clemens
Good read, worth seeking out
 
Thankfully we in Buffalo, NY converted most of our Trico wiper plants into SOHO apartment buildings with upscale restaurants.
10 - 15 story buildings with 3 foot thick clay brick walls and 16" - 24" floor joists on 12" centers.
