Pam 300 HD

Hi all, I have installed a PAM 300 HD and found that when the machine is off the PAM buzzes..
Being my first phase converter I do not know if this is a normal thing for it to do or not.
The mill I am running on it has a hi/lo RPM circuit on the switch if that makes any difference.
Any input would be appreciated as I am not versed in this thing, Thanks Cliff

I think the PAM should be turned off when not in use. I use one to start my homemade RPC, and it is not energized until the RPC is turned on.

Thanks John; I was considering a shut off switch for it and that is gonna happen now .................

I have the exact same unit and leave it on all the time. It’s silent.

HMMM, Yours is silent, Mine is quiet when I switch the breaker on to it but after I run
the mill it starts to humm when the mill is turned off, other than that it works fine.
Guess I will call Phase a matic Monday and ask what fer.....................
