Phase II stuck

My mag base is stuck on the 1/2 ON to full ON position, I can turn it to full ON easily but it won't go to OFF, the knob gets stuck 1/2 way. The magnet it still on too. How do you open this up?

Take the post out of the top. It might be stuck on that. Mine needed a washer underneath it.

Outside of that, get a Noga.

If you want to get the thing apart I think the front label needs to come off. I had one where that on-off label was loose and I could see that that was the only thing concealing the guts and how to get at them. I don't think I took mine apart but here's a link that talks about the same thing. I'm guessing the base is more or less the same construction.

Yes, the front label peals off revealing the magnet. Probably a piece of broken magnet is jamming things up.

@MyLilMule : You were totally right, the shaft was the issue, add one washer and it's all better.
