Hi all,
I've had my machine since mid January and I'm finally getting around to tackling threading. I want to cut a #13 thread and discovered that I can't do that with the included change gears?????
It has a 48 and a 24 tooth gear installed in it. I don't see any other gears.
I saw on a chart that I'd need a 26 tooth gear.
Does this lathe really NOT come with the stuff I need to cut common threads?

Mine came with the additional gears also. Interestingly I also just discovered that 13 tpi is not available without a gear change.

If it’s any comfort, the 1440gt also requires a gear change to cut 13tpi. It says so right on the chart, but that’s not how I discovered it.

Hey everyone,
I contacted PM and they said they are going to send me my missing gears!
I've seen a lot of other posts where guys are bragging on PM's support, and now I have to join the crowd.
When I get ready to upgrade my mill, I know where I'm going to.
Thx,
Jim

Matt and the folks at PM do know how to take care of their customers. Quite refreshing in this day and age. :)
