PM1228 compound t-nut size

I was at Tractor Supply today and purchased a belt 3L340 3/8 x 34" as Aukai mentioned this one runs a little tight as well, however, fit the pulley V's perfectly. The 1/2 version sheds material and is riding above the pulleys (ask me how I know).
I would bet the perfect fit would be a 3/8 x 34.5 ( 3L345 Wrapped V-Belt, 3L 3/8 x 34.5in)

- which is available online or special order. I just ordered a couple these off ebay and will update in fit.
Other wise you have to go with 35 very loose or 34" which runs tight at most local spots.

Thanks dude. I appreciate it again. Probably gonna bug you a few more times over the coming months preparing for the lathe arrival. Thanks for all the help

Received and installed the new ebay 3/8 x 34.5" belt, let the lathe run at 300 rpm for about 15 minutes to let it warm up and settle it in.

Looks like a decent low cost alternative replacement/backup PM1228 V drive belt.

Excellent info. I’ll get one on order. Very helpful. Turns out waiting til May for my lathe to arrive has allowed me to be better prepared.

For the tensioner, if you have a chance, check the bearings. There are 2 of them in the barrel, one of mine wore out/tightened up with very little run time, and spun the post in the bracket making it wobble. It's a stationary post, but is pushed through, and retained by a snap ring, so it can rotate. I welded mine , and ordered a new bracket from PM

Aukai,
I’ll check those bearings and see how they’re holding up.
Thanks for the heads-up!

What kind of bearings? What size? I wouldn’t mind ordering some ahead of time and replacing them from the get go.

They are the sealed bearings like in an automotive belt tensioner. The name on the bearing is:
OUTDO
bearing #:
6001RS
there is also a small #
B22-19
