Finishing my PM 1440TL set up. Made the knob for the POT and also a plate and spacer to fit it properly in the large hole. Now working on chuck cradle. One is complete working on the next one. Re purposing some of the pallet the lathe came in. Then on to set up the Atlas collet chuck and I should be done with tooling. Got the T-nut for the quick change done Thursday. Not like plugging in a new appliance that is for sure. It is a process.

But I thought dangling the 30# lathe chuck over the bed ways, with one hand, while trying to tighten up the mounting lug with the other hand, was half the fun...............

Now just add a worm adjust duct band with a draw type latch. Makes it easier to move the chuck. Over at the recent "make a cradle" shows a picture, Oh, yeah, I guess a chuck caddie is the same as a chuck cradle. Whatever. Good job.

Cradle sounds good. I can update to that. Thanks.
