should dad & i get these?

I would probably look into some imported carbide 2 flute endmills, think it would be cheaper in the long run... you might get a few of the ones you have pictured for finishing but they seem to be expensive to me... I think you could get endmills cheaper, personally, I would use endmills.. I've ordered import tooling from shars and even though its import its good quality stuff, its not garr or osg, put its great for home shop use..

If you are doing 3D cuts in wood or MDF this is a good price. I have not ordered from that company before so I can not speak to the quality, but the price is good. Not sure what spindle speed you are running at but at 18 KRPMs in MDF that is a feed rate of around 450imp for the 4 flute cutters. That is close to what I use for jog speed so I would only use these for fine finishing cuts. You will only see the value in these if you are doing fine detail deep cuts. Something with a depth of .750" or deeper in a small space. For lower depth carvings I would stick to a .125" 2 flute ball mill. These will suck for most plastics, you just will not be able to clear the chips fast enough. Unless you are in production I would not get more than 1 or 2 of these. I have a few of the long tapper ones that I have been using for better than 4 years and they are the uncoated carbide. Short of dropping one or crashing into a fixture I can't see someone wearing one of these out except in mass production. Hope this helps.

ok. we'll save that for down the line aways.

the real deal is we have to make some of 'Tony Well's' ' plastic/wax' into blocks.

then play around with the bits we have.

Have A Nice Day!
