Progress on the Acra mill...

A lot of parts cleaning going on, and the Oil Eater water based cleaner is working great. Will start on cleaning out the knee today. Made a light tower for the parts washer after getting PO'd at the crappy clamp on light I was using. Have to pull it back off and redo the top light brackets as I welded them on upside down , but the light is great. Mike

I used Oil Eater in my identical parts washer until it rusted holes in the bottom of the tank.

Did it rust from the inside out? Very dry climate here, so rust from the outside is unlikely. Mike

Looks like I see a puppy supervisor in that first pic! Glad he’s keeping a close eye on things.

I had considered putting a large rectangular plastic drain pan in before I filled it. If it starts to leak I guess that's always an option. Mike

Reminds me I need to repair the pump on my parts cleaner... Was thinking of adding a better filter system for it while I was there...

I've been thinking the same thing. I have a plethora of large water filters, and since I've been using the ultra sonic cleaner on them they seem to last for ever. It would require mounting the pump, and filter housing outside the tank, which would more easily facilitate using the large plastic drain pan in the tank, and also make cleaning it out easier. Mike
