Proper shielding of iGaging DRO USB cables and installing stainless steel flexable conduit

Just my 2 cents worth, but if you're going to all the trouble of routing and cutting wire, I'd replace the vinyl covered wire with braided style.
Here's a quick search at Amazon. Make sure you choose 'mini' not micro. Problem might be is that they seem to be around 6' now a days.
Leave the 'plug in' end intact and cut of the other.
The vinyl/plastic style seem to fail more frequently.
I have one 6" iGage and the cable crapped out on that early on. (replacement cable I also hot glued it to the head...)
With all the other 'puter junque I use I've noticed that the braided seems to hold up better. YMMV.
