Hey everyone!
i need your help! i am currently tearing apart the QC Gear Box on my Heavy 10 and have a couple questions and i hope you can help!
1.) after removing all the gears and shafts i noticed that all the felts in the oil passages are pressed completely down in the holes! most of them i cant even see... the others i can see but i cant get them out (they are deep)! i tried to use tiny needle tweezers to grab them but no luck. what should i do now? the lathe has never been restore or repaired bfore so i am not sure how they got pushed in so deep..
should i press them into the oil rifles and replace them with new ones?? i dont know???
2.) has any one ever replaced the 2 needle bearings on the tumbler handles? the 2 bearings in the large gears on the handles.... the bearing numbers are #GB-812.
does Mcmaster Carr carry them? anyone know McMaster part number?
