Hi All! Has anyone ever used Hockey Pucks as foot mounts on a stand-up air compressor?

I put them on a huge 3 phase converter idler. Worked great.

I used one for a stop on my winch. 1st experience with them. Handy little item

Am I allowed to follow up with compressor questions or must I start a new thread

I took the cheap plastic wheels off my horizontal tank compressor and replaced them with pneumatic tires... that made a pretty big difference. I am guessing you are probably talking about a vertical tank compressor though? Is the compressor bolted down?

I don't think we have any rules about going off on a tangent in threads on this forum... if we did I would have been kicked off a long time ago. :)

No Mike it is not bolted down. It's sitting on the floor of my garage

I just got a vertical tank compressor. Man that thing is top heavy. Are you thinking of bolting the hockey pucks to the feet so the compressor doesn't slip off of one and fall over?

Hi Mike, Yes that was the plan, opinions?

I was condirering a short agressive hold. Like a lag screw or something similar

Given that this is about quieting an air compressor, if you can't put it outside in its own enclosure, consider building a box around it with acoustical foam on the inside.
