Rotary table want to make good decision

Been doing allot reading and searching the forums for info on this subject want to make good decision on what to get for my for PM25-Mv mill. Allot of folks been suggesting the 6" Rotary table for my size Mill some are saying the 8" would be too big . I guess what am i asking would you agree on the 6" for that mill .

Also I am y leaning towards getting the 6" vertex RT as i belive its a better table anyone know where to get the diving plates that would properly function/ fit that table thanks ?

Bonus Q
Does anyone know if the H7527
sold by Grizzley
6" Rotary Table w/ Div. Plates
http://www.grizzly.com/products/6-Rotary-Table-w-Div-Plates/H7527 is a china made RT is it a copy of the Yulssa ?

is the G1049 a knock off as well? http://www.grizzly.com/products/Combination-Rotary-Table-6-/G1049

sorry for all the Qs but i guess what im asking is is it at all worth it or should i stay away from teither of those models all together ?
As you see im trying to get my best bang for my buck and don't want to regret making the wrong decisiionand ending up buying more equipment
thanks again

I agree that the 6" table would fit your mill better. You don't want to be wearing out the slides from carrying too much weight.

The Vertex is probably the better table, but I don't know about getting dividing plates for it. Probably any of the tables you mentioned would be perfectly suitable. I made a dividing attachment for mine, but that takes a little doing. I indexed the holes with just hand dividers.

I agree the vertex is a better made product, you might be able to get the dividing set up for that too. If the china ones have it then vertex should too. Or adapt one of the china dividing attachments to the vertex, if I were buying a new one and could afford the better one that's the one I'd buy. I bought a used 9" troth rotary table from eBay ,well my luck lost or stolen by FedX , never made it to me ,now I'm looking for one I can afford again . Make sure you insure it . I at least got my money back. Don't trust FedX anymore.

Another vote for Vertex and I also believe the 6" would be the better size for your mill.

Figured I reply here instead of by PM.

I don't know where the Grizzly model RTs are made that you listed but the manual for the H7527 is printed in India. The manual for the G1049 is printed in Taiwan. Not that it necessarily means that's what the COOs are but just saying. The G1049 is also listed to have Meehanite castings (like the Vertex RTs) so that's a better indication of that one being made in Taiwan.

And as said in my previous PM, I specifically choose to go with a Vertex.

Hi
the G1049 is made in tiwan. ( this is a good one )
the H7527 made in india. ( It seems members here like this one? )
I own the following rotary tables.
1 - yulssa 8" super spacer with chuck weighs 118 lbs.
1 - phaseII 6" horizontal 33lbs no chuck.
1- vertex 6" weighs 26 lbs no chuck.
1 g1049 25lbs vertex clone maby ?
The vertex and G1049 fit my G0730 like a glove.
The plates on my vertex dividing head fit the 6" vertex rotary & G1049 I have .
The phase II is a good table, but I like the vertex as it is lighter and easy for me to handle.
I am over 60 and don't like picking up heavy stuff.
enco has a 20% + free shipping, so either is good. save20vip vipship

hope this helps

To add for size it's what you might need that should make the size you need. If only doing smaller items 6" if you need more then 8" clamping takes up space too . When set ups need more room you might be sorry with the 6" .just my thoughts. I'd rather have more room then less. If you only have a mini mill get the 6" it'll be giant size on it.
