[How-To] Rust Pel 45

Amongst the flotsam and jetsam that came with my surface grinder is this container of Rust Pel 45.
(I note the irony of the rust on the outside of the container.)
Does anyone have any experience with this?

I was unable to find any WHMIS info on "RUST PEL 45".... so who knows what it is?

I was going to suggest that we take it an expert (@RJSakowski ), but if we cannot tell him what's in it then he probably can't help!
The can label also says "Sample".....so maybe it was never a real product?!?!

"Sample" is usually just that, someone wants to try a product, the company send him a sample in hopes that he will buy more ---

From the description it might be similar to Cosmoline.
Paint some on a scrap pc of metal and see what happens!
