Slot width for jacobs wedges

I am making a drill chuck arbor for my Gorton 8d mill. The chuck has a 6jt taper. I need to make a slot above the jacobs taper big end in case I need to remove the chuck some day. Does anyone have any idea of the width and depth of the slot to accommadate wedges for removal?

Here are some dimensions based on my J6 chuck wedges.



Minimum gap to get the wedges into the slot between the chuck and the arbor:



Gap when wedges are at maximum gap distance:
