Smokey Yunick memorial Best Damn Garage in town

I always thought the white coveralls was a very bold statement about the kind of shop you run. It's quite impressive, really. Like, it takes more than just care and practice to keep things that clean, it must become a state of mind. That's fantastic marketing for a team tech lead.
 
Old thread, but oh well. As a teen in the 1970s, I had a question for Smokey and called his shop, expected to talk to one of his guys. Instead, they said "Here, talk to him yourself." I was in awe. Unfortunately, my boldness didn't extend past that. If it had, I'd have walked up to Paul Newman as he sat - all alone, next to his IMSA car at a Riverside CA race, and talked cars, as I drove a modified Datsun at the time. One of my regrets.
 
Well I agree with Smokey on All time Favorite being Pontiac V8s.

Although will take 400, 421, 428, and especially 455's over the 389's
