Hey all, I got myself a nice new to me Southbend 7"shaper and long story short I accidentally spilled some oil out of it. So I was going to drain the oil and put in new stuff but I wasn't sure what I should use to replace it. Its a newer model with the built in oil pump if it matters. From some of the research I have done most have recommended non-detergent 20wt, and I have read that some have used Vactra #2 in its place. What should I put in it? I hate to put in the wrong stuff in it. Thanks

Vactra #2 would be a good choice, I use it in my shaper and lathe apron, anything with sliding ways ---

Never use engine oil for your machines, it is not formulated for machine use.
