Are all south bend lathes the same thread? Atleast for the 9a?
 
I believe the two most common spindle thread sizes for SB are 1-1/2x8. And 2-1/4x8. IIRC the 9's are 1-1/2x8.
 
Ok im just trying to get an idea on 4 jaw chuck prices.
