Started Making Punch And Die For Faux Rivets

In 1.25 hours, I got a punch and die. Punch is 4mm and die is about 6.5mm.

Used drill rod.

I need to refine the shape now and make them smaller as these seem way too big for 7/8 scale, which is what I build outdoor trains 1:13.7 scale

To make rivets, I'm using my drill press. Material is sheet steel.

Nice work. You might want to try freehand turning with a graver. They are easy to grind from a HSS tool blank and not terribly hard to use. It is a technique clockmakers employ.
