I made the first version of this several years ago and being v1 it was more proof of concept. I used very crude v block clamp and a couple of 80/20 drops along with a spare 80/20 guide bearing in order to make the height adjustable. It proved to be so handy it made me mad I didn’t do this years ago. This is the v2 with more solid mounts, rack and pinion height adjust, a locking knob and a slide stop. The original had just Allen screws for snugs and was quick to make but clumsy in use. I also welded the beam clamps to the frame to ease mounting as I don’t leave it set up. When I made the better grinder mounts it was necessary to pull the front housing off the grinder and put it in the lathe as it was tapered. this made it stronger and easier to mount. Hopefully the photos are self explanatory. Any questions just shoot and I’ll do my best.

Thank you for posting this, definitely added to the project list.

Please post if you come up with something. We all work with what we have and I had spare 80/20 and parts. Also had the pinion and rack left over too. Those made life so much easier. If I can ever whittle down my project list I would like a bigger table with an adjustable fence. I clamped a guide to it once and it did a really nice job of making a clean mill like cut. I also used the universal vise Dave sold me to grind a special bit for my lathe and shaper. Set up was awkward, but did the job. Next time will be better.

I thought that looked familiar !

Dave, oh provider of all things tool related, i know you have many Lista cabs. Do you have any of the little divider tabs that go in this sgt-4 divider tray? I just got me a batch of them the other day off eBay and it came with a bunch of the diver tabs for I think the 2 groove tray so won’t fit my 4 groove tray. Here’s a stock pic of the 4, 3 and 2 groove trays and their little dividers

Are you talking about the metal dividers ?

See the 4 groove divider on the left of the pic? Right below it is the little plastic divider.

I have nothing like that . I have the metal dividers in all different lengths and heights to tie the long full length drawer dividers together .

Ok, thanks for the quick reply!

No problem . What I DO have is plenty of that 80/20 ! I think you need to make revision 2 and 3 on that die grinder holder ! ;) :big grin:
