Sticker shocked

Why not use the old tried and true farm method. Lift the wheel/tire with a plain scoop shovel. Steady the wheel on the front of the shovel and push down on shovel handle. Works great. Even heavy pickup wheels can be mounted with ease.
 
I'm only look at 1/2" rod. There's not enough room between the car and the wall for the shovel but it's a good idea. I'm just getting too infirm to get down on the ground and lift the tire with my back, and it's an interesting project. :) Right now, my wife does it for me. She's learning quite a lot about car repair lately.
