Most of us use ink or other stuff for marking up the work.

We discovered by accident a handy trick.

Our label printer spits out a couple blanks to set the top of page whenever it is power cycled so we have one blanks, rejects work too.

We had a project that needed marks but did not want scratches because it was painted.

Stick a label on it and use that.

DUH...

Today we needed to drill a hole in a plastic panel for conduit run.

The conduit parts have a center line in their casting so a tri-square makes it easy to locate and transfer a measurement.

The plastic was black so anything else would be difficult.

Photos show the work today.

The labels peel right off after done.

Nice solution!

When I built my Dyke Delta, I made all the fittings by printing the patterns and spray gluing them to the sheet steel. A label would have make that so much easier.
