Just a note for the American members, Canada has just outlawed 1500 " assault type weapons" as of Friday May 1.
The M1 is on the list. So in the future if you plan on driving to or thru Canada with any of the guns on the list, the gun will be confiscated or you will be turned away at the border, not sure which. Beware before you go North.
