The restoration of the logan 6560 is almost done. The last part (tail stock) assemble started saturday. I lost the key that keeps the spindle from turning. The key way in the spindle is .250 x .120. How would I make one of these? I was thinking about about turning up a dummy spindle, inserting a a key and turning so I would have the correct depth and radius on the key. Now the loacating pin which is also .250 dia. After the key is done how would attach the locating pin?
