Anyone know of a Taiwanese made 12x28 inch lathe; precision would be nice? 120Volts. Something akin to the PM-1228VF-LB lathe? Just wondering. My searches didn't come up with anything. Thank you.
I ordered a 12x24” version of Precision Mathews 12x36” lathe. 240V though.Anyone know of a Taiwanese made 12x28 inch lathe
Not going to happen, at 1.5 Hp you would overload a convention 15/20A 120VAC receptacle/wiring. You can put a 1 Hp motor on the lathe for not to much, you could use a voltage doubler VFD, the largest I have seen for 120 to 240 is a 1.5Hp, there are a few other manufactures. The Lenze AC-Tech M1115SB input current at 120V is 21A, and you need to rate the wiring /breaker for at least 125% of the input current so a 30A breaker and most likely would also apply for a single phase 1.5 Hp motor (see chart below). Better to pull in 240VAC or just downsize to a 1 Hp motor. It says it's a 220V...I would like to have a 120V. I know, beggers can't be choosers.
