It's a tough, self lubricating plastic similar to Delrin. Cuts easy, wears well. Low friction. I put some on a variable position motor mount for an outboard motor prototype. Never heard from them again. It has pretty good compressive strength, but not much shear and tensile.

alot of cnc mills use a turcite insert on the ways..
