Unimat 3 Motor Replacement

I have a Unimat 3 that has the original 222v 50 hz motor, and I want to find a replacement variable speed 110v 60hz motor. Does anyone have a source for an economical motor. E-Bay has some for around $180.00 but I would like to find something cheaper. Thanks

Check out the post by jump4 about a sewing machine replacement motor.............it is 110VAC, 3/4hp, var speed, with controller, model FL-550, all for $127. His post is here:

There may be similar ones with hp more suited to your Unimat.
