This just came up on my ebay search for all things Van Norman

Buy it now price of $345.60, shipped via freight. If it turns as it should this may be a good buy for anyone who has a large mill and wants a quality dividing head.
Listing says "make offer" someone may be able to pick it up cheap.

Interesting. This VN dividing head ended on ebay in early Oct, now is listed again. I emailed the owner and he replied the initial purchaser didn't realize what the shipping cost would be for a 200# crate. He reports the DV is in good shape.

I've got this DH. I really like her. Super sturdy, super heavy.
Price seems right. Speculative, but I wonder if the sale has more to do with location and the implications for shipping cost.
I have not seen the DH. I don't know the seller.

We may have a member in the area who would be willing to pick it up.
It might take some time, and trust. But, a HM buyer might be able to coordinate a local pick up and sequential hand offs transporting progressively closer to the HM buyer for the price of a sandwich and soda.
