Resolved Weird behaviour with Chat Alerts

I keep getting chat alerts - The indicator next to the chat drop down box goes from red 0 (indicating no chats i assume) to green with a number > 0 - it changes from time to time.

Clicking on the alerts to bring up the chats brings up an empty dialog. So either the alert is wrong, or the chat dialog is doing something screwy and not displaying the messages.

I think that the alert number is the number of people logged in to Chat, not how many posts they have made.
