What are these change gears for?

The bore is 0.625" with a key. 10 gears total.



I'm cleaning them up in evaporust. One in the soup and another to go.

The change gears were included with the lathe but they are obviously not for this lathe. Much too small.

What are they for?

Just a SWAG, but change gears are #32 on parts list for SB lathes.
My 9C gears have a 5/8 bore.
Markings are different, could be for an older O or Jr. model.

Apparently the Southbend Jr 9" lathe used the 16 dp gears with 5/8" bore and 1/2" face.

Newer 9" lathes used 18 dp.

Yes. The newer change gears are 9/16" bore, 18 dp, and 3/8" wide face. I think I got the bore right.
