What Are These?

Anybody recognize what these are? They cameavalve.JPG in a box of stuff I got at an auction for a machine shop going out of business.
 
In-Line-Filters for a compressor. They filter out oil or maybe water. That side screw is the drain when they are full.

Look like fittings for putting oil into tool air lines to lube the tools
 
Look like inline oilers to me.
They will provide a steady stream of oil into an air tool. I've used them in shops with water in the lines. Not sure they really help, but made me sleep better...
 
Correct, they are inline oilers. Duh! Once you said it I thought I should have known that. airvlve.jpg
 
+1 on inline oilers, I have ones that look almost exactly like those on some of my air tools.
 
Yep, in line oilers. They are nice until they start to leak and or do other wrong things. I no longer have any. I just put a few drops of air oil in the tool before use. Been doing that for years now, no problems…Dave
