What do I look for when buying a used tapping head?

Hi Folks!

Since I can't afford a new tapping head I'm relegated to the used market and have no idea what to watch for when buying a used tapping head.

What do I look for in the photos? (on Ebay for example)

What wears out on these things?

Are collets available for Procuniers?

Are spare parts available?

Also, which heads are good reliable workhorses and which are to be avoided?
