Thanks guys. Well I don't need a motor but that is a good deal. I have another dumb question. Do I still need a on and off switch or does the vfd take care of that too? I think I settled on a teco MODEL #:JNEV-201-H1. Will this play nice with my motor? Here is a picture of the vfd and motor.
Start-stop-reverse can be handled right there on the vfd. You can also wire up a separate hand held control box with a on off switch and a pot for variable speed if you like, too.
Automation Direct has pretty good deals and they are in the US, so you can call them up with questions. The link below is for a 230v single phase input, 1 hp drive. They also sell drives with 120V input at about a 40-50 buck premium of fhp sizes. Link: http://www.automationdirect.com/adc...l)/GS1_Drive_Units_(120_-z-_230_VAC)/GS1-21P0
