Who takes it apart - when it's brand new ?

Me. Everything comes a part....
I bought a new Long block for the truck, came with a two year warranty, disassembled it and checked all the small details.
I feel the warranty wouldn't add up to squat if I needed it.
25 k later still happy.

Mom said I took my toys apart when I was a little kid . ****** the old man off . I still take things apart first. Cant buy good "Proud to be made in America " anymore.

The first thing that I can recall was my parent's alarm clock. The wind up kind. I had a few parts left over when I reassembled it. I was around rwn at the time. Of course, what kid hasn't taken is bike apart to do maintenance? Add fishing reels, radios and tv's to the list as well.

I don't take apart new acquisitions as a rule but more than likely, they will come apart at some time in their lifetime. I do have a tendency to take discarded things apart to salvage usable items and to just see what makes them tick.
