I just hauled home all of my father in laws machines and tooling. I already had a D5 and a D6 vise with no swivel base for either. I now have anothed D6 with the swivel base.
There have been several times where I had wished that I had two identical vises. I was thinking about putting my 5" vise on the smaller Bridgeport mill with the swivel base and keeping the two D6's available to work together. My son usually pulls everything of the table to work on outboard v6 engines anywhoo.
I'm so happy about the new machines, especially the mill. Now I can use my 90* head.
There are so many more things that I will be able to do horizontally!
I'll post about the lathe soon (SB Heavy 10)!
