I've been looking for a lathe for a while. Really wanted something without change gears since I do a lot of metric and inch threading. Ended up with a Standard Modern 13x40 from a local auction instead. Only does Imperial threading so I will be building an electric lead screw following Clough42 designs on youtube.
I got an ecoa pry bar a year ago in preparation for when I bought a lathe/mill so it came in real handy for the move. I rented a drop deck trailer to make life easier too. I had 6 pieces of 1" pipe that I rolled the lathe on after lifting it with the pry bar. Getting it up the small incline of the trailer was a bit of a pain. Eventually I just dropped the front end of the lathe onto two sheets of plywood (smooth sides facing eachother) and I was able to just push it the last couple feet with only the rear on pipe.
Definitely need to get a nice winch to make it even easier. I had a harbor freight crap one that kinda helped but was really frustrating to use.
