WTB: Spindle nose

I don't need the whole spindle, and it doesn't really matter which machine it comes off of. Whether it is off a machine that is being scrapped or a spindle that was damaged in a crash, I just need the nose. I have an old lathe with a spindle threaded in a very odd spindle size. I'm considering making an adapter to a size that I can get a chuck for. If I can cut off the spindle nose and machine it to thread onto the 2.125x8 spindle that I have, I'll be good.

Given size and availability, I'm thinking an L00 would fit nicely.
