I bought a 2.2KW XSY-AT1 VFD a while back and now looking to use it on my milling machine. Ive just bought a new 1.1KW 3 phase motor- ive wired it all up and everything runs fine as is. For those not familiar with this model VFD - they are commonly sold on ebay as a HY knock off but there are a few videos on youtube with people using them with no real problems - after watching numerous videos about setting parameters on other makes of VFDs Ive tried to set mine up as good as I can.
My main concern is there are no parameters for inputting the motor amps, poles, horsepower rating like there are on other brand VFDs - should this be a concern regarding over current protection etc... or does the VFD configure itself to the motor?
Im going to be using it set at 50Hz [rating for motor] and will change speeds via pulleys just to keep things as simple as possible
