Mill quill handles

I’ve been frustrated with this for some time.
I finally added two more handles.
McMaster Carr sold me two plastic balls. Be here Tuesday.

I have one of those 3 spoke quill handles. I use it whenever I have deep holes to drill so I don’t have to keep re-positioning the handle.
Thanks for reminding me that I need to bring it home from work so I’ll have it for my mill.

I did the same thing to my mill. I hated the one handle design.

Different strokes I guess.

My mill/ drill came with three and I never use them so I took them off and repurposed them elsewhere. I am very curious of the setup Tom/Oxtools has on his Bridgeport though. Instead of handles he has a big handwheel like I’ve seen on jig borers.

I vote for 3 balls, but not brass, they would be too cold in chilly weather.

Changed the 3 handles to a “steering wheel” (with a handle) on my Mini-Mill and won’t go back:
