Red neck layout bluing?

I'm a recent convert to dykum and I'm very impressed with its ability not to fall off with a little oil and handling.

If you are doing a large project you might. Also some oil can remove the sharpie. I use sharpie for quick marks that don't have a lot of complexity.
The fact that I have sharpies does not preclude using dykem. I just haven't needed it. I recognize the quality of dykem. If I need it I'll buy some.

I look at it as another tool in the toolbox.

Shortly after getting mine I needed to fit a close tolerance pully on a keyed shaft.

The dykem wasn't working at it was built up too much and was just mostly getting wiped clean and not showing where the tight spot was.

Wiped it all off and tried the marker and it was perfect.
