That is typical for the 1340GT, I recall the oiler in the back of the carriage and a few others being very difficult to oil. One reason why I added the felt pads. On the back of the carriage you have two flat surfaces, so there is no place for the oil to escape, as opposed to the front V-ways. I find that oiling while moving a surface or the feed is turning my help distribute the oil. Bottom line with hardened bed-ways, I think we will wear out before the lathe wears out. Really doubtful that the oiler is plugged. No worries.
