1/6th scale 1890's 30ft navy steam cutter (live steam)

the wax is a small amount and not worth recovery,, (also sorta cheap) steam to melt the majority of the wax out,, the burnout kiln is just that, wax is gone at 400f,programmed to go 1300f to cure the investment, and then drop down to a holding temp so the mold is hot for pouring,, the vacuum table pulls out gases through the plaster investment for better casting..
 
@tghsmith, are you making your waxes on a lathe, mill, hand carving or something else? BTW, I love seeing your progress and attention to detail. Fantastic work
 
wax casting day,, poor-man's wax injector and silicone mold,, all ready for trimming and mounting to a sprue..
